  1. Erected in 1583 by Prince Petru Cercel, the church is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin. It was restored by Constantin BrΓncoveanu in the 17th century. Highly valuable frescoes painted in that epoch show the portraits of Wallachian princes.
